Draft Report on the US Universal Periodic Review is Released

The human rights record of the United States was reviewed by the Human Rights Council in November 2020 as part of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process. In December 2020, a draft report of the review of the US was released.


The draft report contains a record 347 recommendations made by 116 UN delegations to improve human rights in the United States. We call on the Biden administration to adopt the draft UPR report and implement the recommendations made, which will officially be adopted by the Human Rights Council during the March 2021 HRC session.
