January 27th - US Government consultation with civil society*
The U.S. Department of State cordially invites you to participate in a discussion regarding the United States of America’s Universal Periodic Review on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Harry S. Truman Building of the State Department. The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor’s Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Scott Busby will host the discussion. Plan to arrive no later than 1:15 p.m. due to security screening procedures.
Please RSVP to FuentesTA@state.gov and FalconSappLA@state.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, with the following information: (a) your name, phone number and email address, (b) institutional affiliation, (c) the name, phone number and email address of the representative participating, and (d) whether you will participate in person or by telephone. Based on your acceptance of this invitation, the State Department will provide additional information to facilitate your entry into the State Department (including the exact location) and provide call-in information. We would like anyone who would like to ask a question or make a comment to indicate that, as well as the subject of your question or comment, when you submit your RSVP. Questions or comments will be limited to two minutes.
