Are you fundraising to travel to the United Nations for the UPR?

As we gear up our advocacy locally, nationally, and internationally ahead of the Universal Periodic Review of the United States next May, the US Human Rights Network invites you to participate in an initiative to raise funds for activists planning to travel to Geneva to attend the review.

We welcome activists planning to travel to Geneva to participate in this initiative by providing their own fundraising appeal which we will share with the Network and our wider social media followers. Please see further details regarding your participation below.

Guidelines and requirements for participation:

  • You must reside within the United States in order to participate.

  • You must be affiliated with a non-governmental organization, community based organization or movement, academic institution, or the Human Rights Cities movement in order to participate.

  • You do not need to have submitted a UPR stakeholder report in order to participate.

To participate in the fundraising project please complete this online form. You will be contacted if any additional information is needed. We highly suggest that you submit your information by Friday, November 22, in order to be highlighted in our promotion for Giving Tuesday. However, the form will remain open and fundraising efforts will continue into 2020.

Please contact USHRN Communications Director, Whitney Yang, if you have any questions regarding this initiative:

We look forward to contributing to your fundraising efforts!
